Our first Concern debate

Congratulations to our Scoil Mhuire Newcastle debating team who won their first Concern debate today against Glór na Mara National School.
The motion for today's debate was All children in Ireland should have the right to a local playground.
Erika- Mai Marques was our captain, Lily Fenton was our second speaker and Abi Fenton was our third speaker.
Caoimhe Kelly was the chairperson. Ava Griffin, Amelia Kiely, Lucy Hackett and Sophie Noonan were our time keepers.
The girls were absolutely fantastic and spoke so well. We are now through to the second round of the Concern debates.
Our debating team meet after school on a Monday with Ms. Stafford and will now be busy preparing for their next debate.
